Covid-19 Terms and conditions effective 4th July2020 until further notice.
Due to the recent coronavirus pandemic it is necessary to implement safety measures as laid out by the Government and the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency. In order to keep both of us safe and help prevent any further spread we must take all reasonable measures to stay protected from the virus. You must agree to the following terms and conditions on every driving lesson until further notice.
PPE
Both your instructor and yourself(learner/student) will be required to wear a face covering for the duration of your lesson. For those of you who wear glasses ,ventilated masks may be helpful in reducing glasses steaming up. You may bring your own reusable or disposable mask to the lesson. Should you not have one your instructor will have disposable masks available for purchase for £1.00. Both your instructor and yourself can take breaks during the lesson outside the car should it become necessary to take a break from wearing a mask. Please wear your mask/face cover before you get into the car.
VENTILATION/CLEANLINESS
During driving lessons we are required to have the windows open to allow adequate ventilation within the car and to minimize any risk of viral transmission. If in the event of rain it may become impractical to keep the windows open in this case your instructor reserves the right to cancel/reschedule your lesson at short notice. The training vehicle will be wiped down with anti-viral wipes on all touch surfaces ie; door handles, steering wheel, handbrake etc, before your lesson and afterwards. Your instructor will use anti-viral spray between lessons on seats, carpets etc . The training vehicle will undergo a weekly valet to ensure high standards of cleanliness are kept for your protection.
HAND SANITISER/HAND WASHING
Please wash your hands with soap and water for a minimum of 20 seconds immediately before your lesson. Both you and your instructor are required to apply hand sanitizer at the beginning of and during the lesson if needed. Hand sanitizer shall be provided however if you have specific allergies you must bring your own sanitizer to use.
CONDUCT DURING LESSONS
It is going to be challenging to hear each other with the windows down and face coverings over our mouths. Therefore it will be necessary to make more frequent stops than usual to discuss learning points in greater depth.
TRACK AND TRACE/SYMPTOMS
If you have any symptoms of the coronavirus you must cancel your lesson immediately and self isolate for 3 weeks There will be no cancellation charge in these circumstances. Symptoms can include a high temperature, a new and continuous cough, loss of taste and or sense of smell, fever, sore throat or headaches. For a full list of symptoms please visit www.gov.uk .
